Last Updated: November 15, 2023

At ZVault ("we," "us," or "our"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our automation service. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access our service.

We may collect information that you provide directly to us when you:

  • Create or register an account
  • Fill out forms on our website
  • Correspond with us
  • Subscribe to our newsletters or updates

This information may include:

  • Basic identification and contact details (name, email address)

  • Zcash shielded address (where you execute tasks)

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access our service, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Device information (IP address, browser type and version, operating system)
  • Usage data (pages visited, time spent, referring website addresses)
  • Performance data (error reports, API usage statistics)

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

Due to the nature of Zcash's shielded transactions, we do not collect or store:

  • Transaction amounts
  • Sender Zcash addresses
  • Receiver Zcash addresses (beyond the addresses you provide for receiving funds)
  • Transaction memo fields
  • Any other data shielded by Zcash's zk-SNARKs technology

This means that while we facilitate the automation process, we do not have visibility into the details of individual tasks beyond the minimum required for our API to function.

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Create and maintain your account

We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, and contractors who perform services on our behalf and require access to your information to provide these services. These may include payment processing, data analytics, hosting and cloud computing, customer service, and marketing.

4.2 Compliance with Laws

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency). However, due to the nature of our service and the privacy protections of Zcash's shielded transactions, we have very limited ability to provide transaction-specific information.

4.3 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4.4 With Your Consent

We may share your information with your consent or at your direction.

5. KYC Requirements and Responsibility

ZVault Automation provides automation infrastructure as a service. We do not directly engage with the end customers who execute tasks through our system, and we have no visibility into the specific task details due to the privacy features of Zcash's shielded transactions.

Customer Responsibility for KYC/AML Compliance: If you use our service to execute tasks for your business, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where you operate.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

These security measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS
  • Secure authentication for API access
  • Regular security audits and assessments
  • Access controls and authentication procedures
  • Regular monitoring for unauthorized access attempts

7. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements.

When determining the appropriate retention period, we consider:

  • The amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information
  • The potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure
  • The purposes for which we process the information and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means
  • Applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or other requirements
